Friends of ours closed their bean-to-bar chocolate business this past year and passed along these beans. The cacao is small-farm Bolivian, but we don't know much else about the origin.
The flavor is bright up front and super-fudgy, and slowly flashes a hint of fruit on the finish.
Each Coqui Cacao bar is made up of three bamboo-shaped pieces, weighs about 80g / 2.8oz, and is packaged in an elegant Lokta paper box, handmade for us in Nepal.
Contains Bolivia cacao beans, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter, organic sunflower lecithin, and tinted mica lustre dust (for color). Produced in a facility that processes dairy, flour, and nuts.
